With Apple and MobileMe making the decision to discontinue their website and blog hosting services this coming June, it's time once again for Postcards From The Road to take another fork in the road.
For those of you who have been with me since the very first Postcard was delivered way back on February 23, 2009, you know that this isn't the first time we've had a detour thrown in our journey together. In January of last year, Postcards went AWOL. After days with Apple tech support that turned into weeks, I finally accepted the fact that I would have to start all over. I guess you could say it was Postcards, the Second Edition.
So not only will I have to start over with Postcards, the Third Edition, I have to find a new host. I've made the switch over to Google's Blogspot and have been working on a trial version off and on for the last few months. I'll continue to tweak it until I'm happy with the final product. Until then, you can still pick up your Postcard on the old site and I'll make plenty of announcements and give you lots of notice as to when the big switch will occur. I'm guessing that it will be sometime in May after the Blue Ridge Rally.
Thanks for being a loyal follower of my travel adventures and day dreams. I'll see you in a few months here on Postcards From The Road.
